PowerPod Limited Product Warranty and Guarantee
Version 1.0. For PowerPod products bought in India through an Authorised PowerPod Dealer.
This Limited Product Warranty and Guarantee is provided by Movio Technologies Private Limited, operating under the brand name GridXenergy ("GridX", "we", "us" or "our"). It covers the PowerPod Battery, the PowerPod Fast Charger and the PowerPod Vehicle Dock, on the terms, conditions, exclusions and limitations set out here.
The first four sections say what the warranty means in plain words. The warranty in full follows them, and where the two read differently, the full terms apply.
To raise a claim, start with your Authorised Dealer (find one near you), or reach us through Support.
In plain words
I.What is covered: the promise
This is what you get with the 3-year standard warranty, and with the 5-year cover (3 + 2) if you add the extension when you buy.
- Manufacturing defects. We cover any failure caused by how the battery was built. If the internal spot welding, the thermal management or the Battery Management System (BMS) fails under normal use, it is on us.
- Performance degradation. Batteries naturally lose a little capacity over time. If your PowerPod's maximum capacity drops below 70% of its original rating during the warranty period, we repair or replace it.
- Connector integrity. The hot-swappable connector is covered when it fails through normal mating cycles, not through forced physical damage.
- Labour and parts. Internal cell replacements, the electronics and the labour to fix them are fully covered. You pay nothing out of pocket for a valid claim.
II.What to expect: the experience
How it goes when something goes wrong.
- Data-driven diagnostics. The PowerPod's BMS keeps telemetry logs, so we can diagnose an issue from the data without making you jump through hoops.
- Quick resolution. A faulty pod gets a streamlined repair or a direct swap for a working pod, to get you back on the road.
- Hassle-free transfers. If you sell your vehicle or hand over your energy subscription, the warranty goes with the pod to the new user.
- Firmware updates. Over-the-air and service-centre updates keep improving the battery's software, for efficiency and for safety.
III.What is not covered: the exclusions
Damage from outside the pack, and what the PowerPod was never meant to go through.
- Physical abuse and accidents. Damage from dropping the PowerPod, vehicle crashes or severe external impact.
- Tampering and unauthorised access. Opening the casing, breaking the tamper seals or attempting to modify the internal circuit boards or cell configuration ends the warranty.
- Improper charging. Using non-approved, third-party chargers, or modifying the charging cables.
- Extreme neglect. Leaving the battery completely drained, at 0%, for a long period (over 30 days, for example), which chemically damages lithium-ion cells.
- Environmental damage. Submersion in water beyond the pod's IP rating, or exposure to external fires or natural disasters.
IV.Our responsibility: the manufacturer's onus
We design, engineer and manufacture these packs from the ground up, so these are our commitments.
- Design integrity. We own the safety of the pack. If a thermal event or a failure is caused by a flaw in our layout or our choice of materials, we take full responsibility for replacing the hardware.
- Accurate telemetry. We are responsible for the BMS reporting state of charge (SoC) and state of health (SoH) accurately. If the software gives you fundamentally false readings, we must correct it.
- Supply chain quality. If a batch of lithium-ion cells from our supplier is faulty, it is on us to replace your pod. The dispute with the supplier is ours to handle.

6.Battery capacity warranty
Battery capacity naturally changes over time and with use.
During the applicable Battery Warranty Period, where the maximum measured usable capacity of the PowerPod™ Battery falls below 70% of its original rated capacity, GridX will assess the Battery through its applicable diagnostic and testing process.
Where GridX confirms that the applicable capacity threshold has been reached and the condition is covered under this Warranty, GridX shall, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected Battery or relevant components.
The capacity assessment shall be conducted using GridX's applicable testing methodology, diagnostic equipment, BMS data and/or other technical information considered appropriate by GridX.
The capacity threshold shall not be determined solely on the basis of the customer's observed vehicle range or distance travelled per charge.
Battery capacity and performance may be affected by usage, charging patterns, storage conditions, operating temperature, vehicle configuration, load, riding conditions and other factors. Accordingly, the 70% capacity provision is not a guarantee of vehicle range or kilometres per charge.
7.Connector coverage
The PowerPod™ connector is designed for repeated insertion and removal during intended use.
Failure of the connector attributable to normal intended mating and de-mating cycles may be covered under the applicable Battery Warranty.
Connector damage resulting from forced insertion or removal, impact, bending, crushing, contamination, misuse, improper installation, unauthorised modification or other physical damage is not covered.
GridX shall determine, based on inspection and/or diagnostic assessment, whether a connector issue is attributable to Manufacturing Defect, intended usage, normal wear and tear or an excluded circumstance.
8.OLED display
The PowerPod™ OLED display is covered against Manufacturing Defects during the applicable Battery Warranty Period.
Normal wear and tear, cosmetic deterioration, scratches, physical damage, impact damage, misuse, liquid damage or damage caused by external circumstances are not covered.
Where GridX determines that an OLED display failure is attributable to a Manufacturing Defect, the applicable repair or replacement shall be covered under this Warranty.
9.Fast charger and vehicle dock
The PowerPod™ Fast Charger and Vehicle Dock are covered for one (1) year from the date of purchase against Manufacturing Defects in materials and workmanship.
Where GridX determines that a Manufacturing Defect exists, GridX may, at its discretion, repair or replace the affected component.
Normal wear and tear, physical damage, improper installation, misuse, unauthorised modification, use with non-approved equipment, electrical faults originating from the vehicle or other excluded circumstances are not covered.
10.Warranty remedy
For a valid warranty claim, GridX shall determine the appropriate remedy.
GridX may:
- a.repair the affected component;
- b.replace the affected component;
- c.replace the PowerPod™ Battery;
- d.provide an equivalent or functionally equivalent component; or
- e.undertake another corrective action considered appropriate by GridX.
The choice of remedy shall rest with GridX, subject always to rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
A replacement component or Battery supplied under Warranty shall carry only the remaining portion of the original Warranty Period and shall not restart a new warranty period.
Except where otherwise required by applicable law, this Warranty does not provide for replacement of the entire vehicle.
11.Labour and parts
For a warranty claim that GridX has determined to be valid, GridX shall cover the necessary parts and reasonable labour directly required to carry out the approved warranty repair or replacement through an Authorised Dealer or authorised service channel.
This coverage does not extend to unrelated vehicle repairs, third-party components, transportation costs, vehicle recovery, loss of income, business interruption or other costs not directly forming part of the approved warranty remedy, except where required by applicable law.
12.Installation requirements
PowerPod™ must be installed only by an Authorised Dealer or GridX-authorised technician.
Installation must be carried out in accordance with the applicable GridX PowerPod™ Installation SOP and approved installation requirements.

Only vehicle configurations identified as compatible by GridX or expressly approved by GridX in writing shall be considered approved configurations.
14.Transfer between vehicles
PowerPod™ must not be transferred or installed onto another vehicle without confirmation that the receiving vehicle is an approved PowerPod™ compatible configuration.
Any unauthorised transfer, modification or installation may result in the applicable warranty claim being rejected.
15.Commercial use
The Warranty remains applicable to PowerPod™ products used for personal or commercial purposes, including delivery, rental, fleet and other permitted mobility applications.
